Ingredients
4 cups milk
1⅓ cups sugar
12 egg yolks, whisked
½ cup bourbon (optional)
1 cup chilled heavy cream
Nutmeg
Directions
- Whisk milk and sugar over medium-high heat.
- Pour into the whisked egg yolks.
- Cook on medium-low for 20–25 minutes.
- Stir in the bourbon and cream.
- Garnish with nutmeg.
